Morang, Nepal – Two private schools in Kanepokhari have announced a holiday due to the CPN (Maoist Centre)'s Terai-Madhesh Awareness Campaign. The program, which began in Kechankawal, Jhapa, has now reached Morang, with a major public gathering scheduled at Kanepokhari-6 and Samaila Bazaar from 9 AM to 1 PM.
Pearl Academy and Zenith English School have closed for the day over concerns regarding sound management and disruptions. Initially, the Maoists had requested four schools to shut down, but only these two complied.
The awareness campaign, organized along the Hulaki Highway, aims to address regional socio-political issues. Various programs are planned for Tuesday and Wednesday in Morang, drawing significant public attention.
